The Climate is tropical, with the warm season being between December - May,during which the temperatures rise above 32oC and the cooler season May- December with temperatures rarely rising above 27oC . But it is never cold.

flag of Tonga

The KIngdoms Flag

The word Tonga means south, and there is two theory as to why this land is called South. The first is the people came from Samoa originally and The Kingdom is South of Samoa and the second is that it comes from the word Tongahahake which translates to Southeast, originally meaning the wind that blows from the Southeast.
